A 30-year-old man was killed and a 42-year-old woman was wounded in a shooting Saturday night in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx, according to police.

Victims Transported to Local Hospital

First responders transported both victims to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln following the shooting, where the male victim was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound to the chest, according to ABC7 New York.

The female victim, who sustained a gunshot wound to her leg, remains hospitalized in stable condition, authorities said.

Investigation Underway

Police have not yet released the identity of the deceased victim pending family notification, and the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under active investigation.

No arrests have been made, and authorities have not released a description of the gunman or indicated whether they believe the victims were the intended targets, according to Shore News Network.
