Drive-Through Coffee Chain Makes New Jersey Debut
A rapidly expanding drive-through-only coffee chain has officially entered the New Jersey market, bringing its unique “stand” concept to Washington Township. 7 Brew, known for its efficient service model and diverse beverage offerings, has opened its first Garden State location along the bustling Route 42 corridor in Turnersville.
The new establishment, located at 5200 Route 42 in the Ganttown Plaza, represents the company’s first foray into New Jersey despite already operating 352 locations across 26 other states, according to 94.3 The Point. The arrival marks a significant milestone in the brand’s aggressive nationwide expansion plan.

Unique Business Model
7 Brew differentiates itself from conventional coffee shops through its streamlined, vehicle-centric approach. The business operates without indoor seating, focusing exclusively on drive-through service where customers remain in their vehicles throughout the entire ordering and pickup process.
“Customers drive up and are greeted by a person with a tablet who takes their order,” reports the Courier Post. This personal touch stands in contrast to the speaker-box ordering systems used by many drive-through establishments.
Adding to the chain’s distinctive character is its physical structure. Rather than traditional construction, 7 Brew utilizes prefabricated modular buildings that are manufactured off-site and then transported to their final location for assembly. This approach allows for faster deployment and a consistent brand aesthetic across all locations.

Product Offerings
The company, founded in 2017 by Ron Crume and his family in Rogers, Arkansas, builds its reputation around three core values: “quality, speed, and fun.” Its menu extends well beyond standard coffee options to include smoothies, energy drinks, teas, shakes, and sparkling water infusions.
Coffee enthusiasts can choose from seven signature brews that gave the company its name: Blondie, Brunette, Smooth 7, Cinnamon Roll, White Chocolate Mocha, German Chocolate, and Triple 7. The menu also features customization options and “secret” items for regular customers seeking variety in their beverage choices.

Local Economic Impact
Washington Township officials have embraced the new business as part of ongoing efforts to revitalize the Route 42 commercial corridor. “We are hoping to continue revitalizing the Route 42 corridor,” Mayor Anthony DellaPia said in an email to the Courier Post. “We are truly honored that they chose Washington Township to open the first location in the state of NJ.”
The township’s leadership has been actively involved in welcoming the new establishment. On March 8, Mayor DellaPia and Councilman Peter M. Del Borrello III attended the delivery of the prefabricated building, donning safety vests and hard hats to mark the occasion alongside franchise owners Zach Rosskamm and Shunori Ramanathan and members of the construction team.
“7 Brew is expanding rapidly, with 550 locations expected nationwide by the end of the year, and we’re proud to be home to the very first one in New Jersey!” Borrello wrote on his social media accounts. “We can’t wait to cut the ribbon and officially welcome them to our community.”

Growth Trajectory
The Washington Township location represents just one small part of 7 Brew’s ambitious expansion plans. Company officials project reaching approximately 550 locations nationwide by the end of 2025, signifying extraordinary growth for a brand that launched just eight years ago.
While the majority of 7 Brew’s locations operate under franchise agreements, approximately 17 remain company-owned. The New Jersey franchise owners will be working to establish the brand in a state already home to numerous coffee options, from national chains to local independent shops.
According to Mayor DellaPia, the 7 Brew opening is just one of several development projects planned for the Route 42 area, with additional businesses already approved and others awaiting final authorization. No announcements have been made regarding potential additional 7 Brew locations in New Jersey, though the company’s rapid expansion suggests more could follow if the Turnersville location proves successful.
