Jenkinson’s to Honor Educators with Teacher Appreciation Night

Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach will celebrate the hard work of educators with their annual Teacher Appreciation Night on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Teachers with valid identification and their immediate family members will enjoy unlimited free rides and ropes course admission at Jenkinson’s Amusement Park, according to Jenkinson’s official website.

The event represents one of several community-focused initiatives held throughout the year at the popular Jersey Shore destination, which has been a staple of family entertainment since 1927. With summer approaching, this educator appreciation event kicks off the boardwalk’s seasonal programming designed to thank various community groups.

Registration Options and Check-In Details

Teachers planning to attend have two registration options available. Pre-registered participants can check in at the Adventure Lookout Ropes Course located at 500 Boardwalk, Point Pleasant Beach, where they’ll receive unlimited rides wristbands. Wristband distribution begins at 4:00 PM, allowing educators and their families to get an early start on the evening’s festivities.

For those preferring on-site registration, the Lighthouse Point Mini Golf Course will serve as the check-in location, also beginning at 4:00 PM. Jenkinson’s staff emphasize that all members of a party must be present to receive their wristbands, which cannot be picked up at regular ticket booths or kiosks within the amusement park.

The event is anticipated to draw significant crowds, as appreciation nights at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk have historically been popular attractions for the honorees and their families, according to NJ Mom, which reports on family-friendly activities throughout the Garden State.

Weather Contingency Plan

Understanding the unpredictability of spring weather, event organizers have designated Sunday, May 18th from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM as the rain date. This proactive planning ensures that educators won’t miss out on the appreciation event if weather conditions are unfavorable on the original date.

“These appreciation events recognize the contributions of various community members, with teachers being among the most vital to our society,” noted Travis Kohr, marketing specialist for Ultimate Rollercoaster, a site that tracks amusement park offerings nationwide. “Jenkinson’s has built a tradition of these events that provide value while introducing potential visitors to their attractions.”

Attraction Operating Hours

Various attractions at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk will be operating with staggered opening times on the day of the event. The Amusement Park opens at 5:00 PM, while food stands begin serving at 4:00 PM. The Lighthouse Point Mini Golf opens at 4:00 PM, Boardwalk Bar and Grill at 12:00 PM, South Beach Arcade at 12:00 PM, and Jenkinson’s South Arcade at 11:00 AM.

While the unlimited rides and ropes course access are complimentary for teachers and their immediate families, the promotion does not include parking or food. Visitors should plan accordingly for these additional expenses when attending the event.
