A tragic motorcycle accident in Ocean County claimed the life of a 24-year-old former U.S. Marine and multi-sport athlete from Brick Township on Saturday afternoon. William “Will” Swiderski was killed when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle at the intersection of Route 37 and Colonial Drive in Manchester Township, leaving a community in mourning.

The fatal crash occurred around 3:15 p.m. on April 19, with emergency responders rushing Swiderski to Community Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead, according to RLSM.

Swiderski was traveling westbound on Route 37 when his motorcycle collided with a car heading southbound on Colonial Drive. The violent impact caused his motorcycle to erupt into flames and threw him more than 140 feet from the point of collision.
