Culinary Destination: Food Trucks Take Center Stage
Food enthusiasts will find plenty to satisfy their cravings as the festival has significantly expanded its food truck offerings this year. Visitors can indulge in classic carnival fare including sausage and pepper sandwiches, cheesesteaks, and fresh-cut fries, alongside more gourmet options from specialized food trucks that will be stationed throughout the event area according to JC Promotions, the event’s organizing partner.
“We’ve created dedicated dining areas with tables near the live music stage so people can relax and enjoy their meals while being entertained,” explained Cissy G, the event coordinator. The strategic placement of food vendors along with designated seating areas represents a thoughtful enhancement to the visitor experience, addressing feedback from previous years when dining space was more limited.

Live Entertainment Lineup Showcases Local Talent
The entertainment program has been expanded for this year’s event, featuring continuous performances throughout the day. The Johnny Woods Band will kick off the festivities from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., bringing their signature blend of Americana, country, and folk/rock sounds to the main stage. Notable for their album “Broken Fences,” the group has built a devoted regional following.
Following this opening act, BreakTime Band will take the stage, offering what organizers describe as “classic harmonic styling of bands like the Beatles and the Beach Boys, bathed in the Hudson River and meshed with modern ear worm pop.” The group performs both covers of 1960s British Invasion and American acts, along with original compositions inspired by these musical influences. Additional performances will include dance exhibitions and martial arts demonstrations throughout the afternoon.
Family-Friendly Activities Expanded for 2025
Families with children will find the “Kidz Traveling Shindig” section has been enhanced for this year’s festival. The dedicated area features bounce houses, slides, interactive inflatable attractions, face painting, sand art stations, and various games designed specifically for younger attendees.
“We’ve put special emphasis on creating engaging activities for children of all ages,” noted a Chamber of Commerce representative quoted in the Patch.com event listing. “We want to ensure that families can spend the entire day enjoying the festival with entertainment options for everyone.”
Shopping and Artisan Marketplace
For those who enjoy outdoor shopping experiences, the festival will feature a dedicated arts and crafts section alongside numerous vendors offering diverse merchandise. Organizers have reported that vendor spaces sold out quickly for this year’s event, indicating strong interest from regional artisans and merchants eager to participate.
The marketplace will stretch along Main Avenue, featuring everything from handcrafted items to specialty foods and unique gifts. Vendor selection has been carefully curated to ensure quality and variety, with many returning participants who have built loyal customer bases at previous Stirling Street Fairs.

Transportation and Accessibility
Event planners have implemented comprehensive transportation arrangements to accommodate the large crowds expected. Attendees can take the NJ Transit train directly to Stirling Station, which provides convenient access to the festival grounds. For those driving, parking will be available at the train station lot and on designated side streets, with clearly marked detour routes via Passaic Avenue and Somerset Street.
“The accessibility by public transit makes this a truly regional event,” commented a Chamber of Commerce spokesperson. “We’re seeing visitors from throughout northern New Jersey taking advantage of the train service to avoid parking concerns and enjoy the festivities without transportation worries.”
The Stirling Annual Street Fair and Food Truck Festival is sponsored by the Echoes-Sentinel newspaper and Long Hill Auto, with additional support from local businesses. The rain-or-shine event has become a beloved tradition in the community, marking the arrival of spring and offering a showcase for local talent, businesses, and community organizations.
